General terms and conditions

Renters and authorised drivers must be at least 23 years old and be able to produce a current unendorsed drivers license held for at least 2 years .
All rates include maintenance but do not include petrol.
Rates and conditions are subject to change with prior notice and vehicles are rented subject to our standard rental agreement.
We honour all major and charge cards.
distance is calculated from depot to depot as is PETROL
Extension of rental: if extension of rental beyond the original return date is required. Global Car Rental must be notified immediately. failure to do so would me the renter is driving the vehicle without collision damage/theft cover and without lawful permission.
Rates are VAT inclusive
All waivers cancelled if terms and conditions of rental have been breached.
Collision damage waiver excess: (CDW) Excess will apply in the event of an accident, fire, theft of a rented vehicle where insurance is taken with excess, excess can only be waived if the client purchases additional zero excess
all speedometers are sealed if they are found to be tampered with, a minimum of 1000 kilometres per a day will be charged each day according to our current daily rate
Any accidents on a gravel road will automatically double the excess.
All accidents to be reported to the SA Police Service on 10111. within 12hours of such occurrence.
All mechanical failure to be reported to our 24hour hot-line (021) 423-5211 for replacement vehicle.
Minimum rental charge is 24hours.
Written authorization for Global Car Rental is required before vehicle leave the depot of origin and no vehicles are permitted beyond our national borders.
Damaged or stolen tyres, trims and all glass will all be replaced at the hirer's cost irrespective of whichever insurance is taken
Traffic fine administration fee of R300-00 will be charged per incident.
The vehicle is not allowed to leave the province from which province the rental commenced. Prior written authorization is required to move this vehicle across any PROVINCIAL or STATE borders.
